Restrictions and Other Regulations

Updated over a week ago

We are happy that you’ve decided to choose us for your casco insurance! To ensure that your car can be insured for a Cristo Casco, please read our post below.

What types of vehicles can be insured with Cristo Casco?

Cristo Casco insurance can only be purchased for privately used passenger vehicles that are registered and in circulation in Hungary, and are no older than 16 years.

What types of vehicles cannot be insured with Cristo Casco?

  • Vehicles used for commercial transport

  • Taxis

  • Race cars

  • Vehicles maintained for the purpose of commercial vehicle rental (with the exception of vehicles rented through the Cristo app)

  • Vehicles not first registered in a European market

  • Other vehicles that the insurer does not cover based on value, performance, etc.

What should I do if my car is not eligible for Cristo Casco?

If you have already started the process of purchasing a casco insurance policy but find that your vehicle is not eligible for Cristo Casco, you will be informed within the app during the process, and you will not be able to proceed with the contract. It's important to provide only accurate information during this process!

Cristo Casco: Stay and Move packages

If your vehicle is eligible for Cristo Casco, the next step is to decide whether you want the Stay or Move package. The Stay package can be selected without a Pro membership, as it only covers damage that occurs while the car is stationary. In contrast, the Move package requires a Pro membership, which includes the Beat telematics device necessary for tracking the kilometers driven by your car. Therefore, if you choose the Move package, you'll first need to upgrade to a Pro membership.
