Cristo Casco automatic balance top-up setting
Updated over a week ago

Cristo Casco is paid from a pre-filled balance. You can replenish this balance at any time or set up automatic replenishment. In the latter case, the balance will be automatically topped up from the selected card if the balance is low. This is the most convenient way to ensure that your car is always protected.

In this post, you can find out where to set up automatic top-up, and learn about the limits associated with the balance and the automatic top-up amount.

Where can I set up automatic balance top-up?

  1. Open the bottom right Cristo Casco card.

  2. Click on the gear to access the settings.

  3. Here you can activate the automatic balance top-up.

  4. Here you can see what the minimum top-up fee is in your case and when you will be notified of an upcoming top-up.

Automatic balance top-up

Our basic principle for the minimum top-up is that, even with low usage, at least 1 month's insurance premium should be topped up. The formula we used to determine the minimum top-up fee is: 30 days' base fee + 500 km mileage fee (mileage fee applies to the Move package only).

Notify you when a balance top-up is approaching

If your balance falls below a certain amount, we'll alert you so you can top up in time, or prepare to have your balance automatically topped up soon.

This notification occurs when your balance is less than half of the minimum top-up fee.

When will the automatic top-up occur?

If you have activated automatic top-up, your balance will be automatically topped up when your balance is less than a quarter of the minimum top-up fee.

How much is automatically topped up?

During an automatic top-up, we top up your balance with the minimum top-up fee.

In summary:

  • Minimum top-up fee: 30 days basic fee + 500 km mileage fee

  • Notification: half way through the minimum charge

  • Automatic top-up: at one quarter of the minimum charge
