Can the Beat drain my car battery?
Updated over a week ago

If you are wondering whether the telemetry device we use affects the energy level of your car's battery, there's no need to worry, as the Beat's energy demand is negligible. Before launching the product, we tested several similar devices and the one we currently use proved to be the best in this respect. When the car is stationary, the Beat is in a so-called deep sleep mode, and its energy requirement is extremely low. Although it consumes more energy during driving, the car automatically charges the Beat's battery, so it remains operational for days without any need for recharging.

It is important to know that when the car is not in use, the Beat is in deep sleep mode, and only transmits information to the application every 6 hours. Therefore, data derived from the Beat, such as the car battery and the Beat's charge level, are only updated every 6 hours in the application.

⚡️Beat telemetry device power supply:

Power range: 10 - 30 V DC with surge protection

Built-in battery: 3.7 V 45 mAh

Power consumption:
12 V < 5 mA (Ultra Deep Sleep)
12V-on < 7 mA (Deep Sleep)

12V < 7 mA (Online Sleep)

12V < 8 mA (GPS Sleep)

12V < 28 mA (nominal)
