About the method and process of planting a tree

Updated over a week ago

Save the Future! is the name of our environmental awareness project, which allows everyone to track and help understand how much CO₂ emissions they are responsible for during their car usage, and how many saplings need to be planted to offset these emissions. The donation required for tree planting is just a few clicks away.

How many trees need to be planted to neutralize my carbon emissions?

By clicking the Save the Future! button in the app, you can see your estimated carbon emissions and how many trees would need to be planted to neutralize this amount. During the project implementation, we collaborate with the MyForest Közösségi Erdőkért Alapítvánnyal, who assist in increasing green areas in Hungary. Every amount donated to us for this purpose supports their work for a healthier and cleaner future. The price of each sapling is 750 HUF.

How does the tree planting happen?

  1. Indicate how many saplings you want to support the project with

  2. Choose whether you want to make this a one-time or a regular (monthly) donation.

  3. Enter your credit card details and billing address for the payment.

  4. You can find the transaction list related to tree planting under the Our forest menu option.

Our Forest

Within the Save the Future! feature, you can see how many trees we have contributed to the foundation's operations and how many of these trees you have supported, as well as how this helps neutralize a certain amount of carbon dioxide. You can also find a list of your previous donations.

What happens after the donation is paid?

The donated funds are handled separately from other payments, and we keep records of every donation. We transfer the collected money every month to the MyForest community forests (Community Forests Foundation, 14.Pk.60.503/2019/2), who spend the amount on local tree planting projects. The foundation, during their advertised projects, plants saplings which will become part of so-called eternal forests, meaning they are protected trees that cannot be cut down. The foundation cares for these forests for 10 years and then leaves them to nature, but continues to do everything necessary for their preservation. You can read more about MyForest (Community Forests Foundation), their past and future projects, and their goals on their website at
