The Beat telemetry device must be connected to the OBDII port of your car. It's a simple operation (like plugging in a flash drive) and takes a few minutes.
The steps below will tell you what to do if you have a Beat device.
Scan your device's QR code
Open the app.
a.) If you ordered your Beat in the app, press the "Order Status" card on the home page, then press "Next" to scan the QR code using your phone's camera.
b.) If you bought the Beat from a website or got it elsewhere, open the "Beat information" card, then press the "Scan QR code" button and scan the QR code using your phone's camera.
Did you order it on a website, but don't have a "Beat information" card? You probably have a previously started order in the app. Click on the "Order Status" card and at the bottom of the screen, interrupt the order process by clicking on "Cancel Order". The home page will then revert back to the default status and you will reach the "Beat information" card.
Connecting the beat
The Beat must be connected to the so-called OBDII port of your car when it is switched off and the ignition is still off. This is typically located where indicated in the picture. If you can't find it, you can look on this page to find out exactly where to look for it on your car type.
Important! Preferably do not connect in an underground car park, but in a place where you have a signal. The Beat has a standalone SIM card that sends data via mobile data, but you'll need a connection to do this.
Start your car in a few minutes
This is so that the Beat can get a charge and we can detect in the system that the device is connected.
If everything is OK, a pop-up screen in the app will indicate that the device has been successfully connected. After that, the Pro features are fully enabled.
